How do you think the United States' government should deal with countries like North Korea and Iran?
Can diplomacy, or efforts like the one in the video above, bring about real change? Or is the use of military force our only option? Be sure to explain your reasoning.
i belive the us should simply act by not acting.both north korea and iran are relativly in an unstable governments and due to the fact that this nation is having trouble on its own i think we should fix the problem that effects our citizens ratgher then go over seas to waste out very precious money on trying to fix other peoples problems. after we have solved or problems the we can look into fixin g these problems. and even then there needs to be a limit on what we do in order to try to prevent a catastrophe such as a war.
Who is they? Iran? North Korea? Both? Please clarify and add support for your argument.
Also, I'm not sure what you think the US should do. Do you want us to negotiate? To use military force? Again, please clarify as a reply to this thread.
I think the u.s. should just butt out of everyone elses buissness and let them deal with there own problems while we deal with ours because we got plenty.
I think that the United States should let them deal with it the way they want to but stop them if they begin to shoot missiles and bombs to each other.
People could get together and see that they don't have to fight about something as they are fighting about now, and that they might have the same ideas just not saying them clearly so the other side could understand. They also have a view that the United States cares about if they fight or if they sit down and settle their differences through arguing not trying to take the other off the map. Also, military forces are not the only option. Civil actions by sitting down across from each other and listen to what the other country has to say is the first and probably the only rational thing to do for them. Military forces just sends a message that the other might attack without reason, and so they have to use military forces to make the other side realize that they are not going to have the military forces threatening without saying words.
I believe that the U.S. should wait to see if Iran and North Korea can make peace, and if things don't get better between them, we should try to interfere without causing a violent outbreak. This article is a very good example of an example of peaceful negotiations being used in the world today.
The U.S government should just try to comproimse or leave them alone. We already have alot on our plate and dealing with them wouldn't help so much. If we left Iran alone and Compromise with North Korea, or do the opposite then we would be in good shape. I know that maybe if we did a trade or something like a peace treaty then we could maybe have better military armor or just be left alone. Likewise the Iran!
I think that the United States should not deal with countries like North Korea and Iran. The United States government is in enough trouble and debt of it own, and i feel that if we help out countries that are not helping us back its a waste of time. Since the United States and North Korea don't get along very well, I think we should just leave them alone. We are wasting money and time on a country that will probably never like or trust us again. We are spending money to help other people's problems and since the economic crisis in the United States I feel that we can't afford to waste money on other countries problems that aren't affecting us. I think that diplomacy will work to some extent, but i don't think that the United States and North Korea should go to war over the issues. I don't think that either countries will fully earn eachothers trust back. People in both countries are living just fine without help from the other country, so i think everyone should just leave the issue alone.
